Quiet Insul is a premium acoustic insulation product specifically engineered to absorb airborne sound and reduce transmission between rooms. The dense, fibrous structure of the material traps sound waves, lowering reverberation and helping to improve the Sound Transmission Class (STC) of any wall or ceiling system.
This product is particularly effective when used in combination with other soundproofing materials like Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV), resilient clips, and acoustic caulk to create high-STC-rated partitions.
Walls
QuietInsul’s dense denim fibers fit tightly between studs, absorbing conversational and appliance noise before it can radiate through drywall. The batts also add thermal mass, helping walls stay draft‑free.
Ceiling
Installed above drywall, QuietInsul’s lofty denim matrix absorbs airborne noise from upper floors while its low‑VOC, itch‑free composition keeps overhead work comfortable for crews. When paired with our Mass Loaded Vinyl barrier and Sound Isolation Clip System, it also tames structural vibrations, noticeably reducing the thud of footsteps and other impact sounds.
Floors
Placed in joist bays or beneath subfloors, QuietInsul’s added mass and absorption improve acoustic separation between units, reducing neighbor noise and noticeably enhancing privacy on both sides of the floor assembly.
